My god did GB make a good call getting rider, Pedro Fernandez to ferry over to PR for a bit of fun and some serious surfing! Truly Amazed at what I saw breaking in front of me this 13th day of Feb. It's no "Secret" this spot but most gringos won't find it.. I had a hell of a fun hike with heavy gear, half drunk from the nite before but so well worth it!

Currently i'm on Nantucket, MA. for the summertime. I live in a sweet house with a bunch of cool bros, most dominican and some which are great surfers. My job is to teach people how to surf at Cisco Beach with Nantucket Island Surf School. The beach scene is really cool, it usually fills up with a lot of decent people from around the nation. I think of it as a good job since i'm always at the beach, training, keeping the tan alive, meeting lots of people and making new friends, and most importantly sharing the art of surfing and putting smiles on peoples faces. I surf a lot with my good friends, Victor Rosario and local ripper Ryan Webb.

I will be going to Costa Rica for the ISA world surfing championships to represent my country, it's something i've been training for and looking forward to doing for a long time. After this, i will be coming back to Nantucket until the end of summer and working hard for Indonesia sometime this september.Life ain't always easy! Gracias GB for your support and coverage.

Pedro Fernandez grabs 9th in Arica Pro Challenge, El Gringo..Chile

GB rider, Pedro Fernandez, made his presence known in the cool waters of the notorious break, El Gringo, in Chile... Heavy surf, Insane barrels for all willing to charge it. This guy is shaking up the scene quite a bit and should be a role model to those that want to persue their dreams.. We couldn't get a shipment of GB stickers to Pedro soon enough, so he drew the Green Bottles logo on. That's something from nothing, that's what we're all about! Thanks PF! Pedro is doing his all to get his name out there as well as get into the best shape of his life.. He's doing it! Look out drinkers, he's the newest face for Dewars as well... Bahoruco Contest DR

Basically the bahoruco contest was the last qualifying event of the 09 season to select the team for the ISA world championship in CR. Luckily we were blessed with really fun head high plus waves. Bahoruco is a small fishermen village with a small cobble stone river that floods out right in front of the point which makes it a really cool camp ground. A bunch of competitors opened up their tents and stayed on the beach, while others stayed at hotels in town. It was a contest full of emotions, up and down, since the top 8 competitors were battling out their valuable points for the national ratings. It all came down to the finals between Junior Gomez, Zion Balbuena, Brandon Sanford and Pedro Fernandez. We all put on a great show, making it difficult to determine the winner. Finally, Zion Balbuena took the cake with his vicious backside attack, while Brandon came up right behind him in 2nd, Pedro Fernandez 3rd and Junior Gomez 4th.

I recently went on a fun trip with three of my best friends, (Billy Hume, Kyle Garson & Jeff Myers), to an island nobody surfs. The place was a super fun time exploring WWII leftovers & finding some pretty fun waves to share with my comrades. We roughed it for a few nights at a campground on the beach and got all rugged and salty. Jeff Smith and his brother Mark were there to document this little adventure. Don't be fooled by her beauty on the beach! If Haley is in your heat, watch your back. Our youngest and only female on the team thus far is a force to be reckoned with. With only 3 years experience in the water, her contest results are speaking highly of her talent in competition. She took 1rst 09' Saltwater Sweethearts, 3rd in the ASP Billabong Pro Jr. 08'..3rd place Overall ASP North American Pro Junior Series, 4th over in Huntington Beach Open Women 08'..1rst in the ESA SE Regionals Junior Women 08'. She's NOT fucking around! We are VERY happy to have her onboard with GB and we're so stoked on her sick progress, period. Did I mention she's gorgeous??!! Pedro is on FIRE!!! Just Google his name and put ,"surfing," after it and you'll see what we mean. Another star from the Dominican Republic has risen and is as focused as a surfer can be. Determination should be his middle name and we're very proud to have Pedro on our team. Goofy foot and proud, this guy doesn't have a greedy bone in his body and just, "gets it," when it comes down to the surf industry as well as maintaining close friendships with just about everybody he meets. I met him while filming in PR a few years ago and after he came up to me and introduced himself, I knew he would soon become A great friend. We exchanged info and the rest is history. Pedro is a blast to film, very fluid yet explosive. Insane power gouges, airs and floaters all day, not to mention, quite the barrel master on the big days. We threw some questions at him...

This guy just plain Rips! A very generous, well manored, aerial assault weapon. We spent a week out in the Dominican Republic shooting stills with Nick Lavecchia on the pics and myself filming it all. Brandon and a few, "standouts," both Imported, (Billy Hume, Jeff Myers, Jason Reagan) and Locally grown talent were our targets. The full story/pictorial appeared in Line Up Mag a ways back and we at GB are proud of that trip and stoked we made lifelong friends with Brandon, Pedro and Bobo (many more!) Figured I'd dive head first into this B L O G thing and clue you in on Green Bottles Productions and what the hell we are and what we're doing lately. First off, let me explain GB. Green Bottles is a brain child of 2 of my good friends and myself.. The name came after a nice session of consuming quite a few green bottles after a day's surf and the other during/after an editing session at the GB studio aka (my 2nd bedroom.) The two merged into my mind and Green Bottles Productions was born. The mission is simple: Bring to the people what I would like to see more of in a surf film. I enjoy life, sometimes it sucks but most of the time it is full of long lasting great moments. I try to capture those moments through video. Having the benefit of meeting and becoming good friends with a lot of the East Coast's best and most deserving surfers as well as some of the amazing Dominican Republic's best talents & Puerto Rico's never ending talent pool, it was on. Close ties were strung and GB was ready to fly. GB does this through my wallet, NO PAYING SPONSORS. I will continue to keep it this way until assistance IS needed! Times are tight.. many have already gone under, I sympathize. We stay strong through close bonds with friends and riders, SIMPLE. What to expect from GB? Never ending enthusiasm for sport. We will bring it ALL to you, whether it be surfing, skating, moto X, snow boarding.... etc.. GB hopes to expand to ALL areas considered "X." For now though, we are focused on Surfing which is MY true love. Enjoy the blog, enjoy the content and for Fuck's sake grab a a few Green Bottles!
